Alma’s Admirer

Alma carefully pulled each present out of the bags, trying not to make too much noise. She was supposed to be in bed, after all.

At first she saw something red. Upon pulling it out further, she saw that it was a red heart shaped balloon, and it had the letter ‘A’ in bold lettering.

“Dis is SO CUTE!” she gasped.

“MOMMY!!!!!!” yelled alma. “MOMMMM-YYYYYY”

I ran up the stairs hurriedly.  I was not surprised in the least with what I saw.

There sat Alma on the floor with tissue paper strewn everywhere, along with open birthday presents.

Alma proudly went through another gift bag, and pulled out a beautiful teddy bear. There were pearls around her neck, and beautiful red bows on her ears.

“Mommy,” said Alma, “Tommy sent me dis bear AND A red heart wiff an ‘A’ on it! I wuvs Tommy, and I thinks dis means he wuvs me too!”

Thank you, Amy and Tommy for the lovely presents. 🥰

Alma the Sneak

“Wow! Wook at all da presents! These is all for me?” Alma asked.

“They sure are! But, your birthday isn’t until the 21st. You can’t open them just yet.”

“Mommy! Dat isn’t fair. Dey just sit there and stare at me! Dey want me to open them!” She huffed as she climbed into bed.

Alma waited for me to leave once I tucked her in, and she crept back out of her bed.

She sat on the floor, and pulled the bags closer to her… Carefully removing each piece of tissue paper, and laying it on the floor.

“I’ll just has a peek, and if I puts everything back just wike it was… Mommy will never know!”

Thank you, Amy (and Tommy 😉), for the adorable little miniature presents. ❤️

Alma Plays In The Puddles

“Mommy! MOMMMM-YYYYY! There’s no more thunder. Da lightning stopped too… Does you know what dat means?!”

“What does that mean?” I asked Alma.

“It means to grab your rain boots or come in your bare feet! It’s time to go pway in da puddles! Come pway wiff me!”

Alma grabbed her rubber ducky, and carried sweet little Puppy, and Max followed not far behind.

Into the puddles she hopped…
